Nostalgiafest in Downtown Niagara Falls is an annual two day festival, celebrated to relive the glory days of the place; to let the new generations revisit those good old days. The festival was started by a group of residents committed to regenerate an interest in the diverse history of the place. And they have done well. It is the
Willoughby Historical Museum that is the focal point of activity during this festival. Just a few minutes away from the river the museum is an old world red brick schoolhouse, which boasts of a wide variety of historical artifacts all the way back from the settlement days of the 1700's. The museum gives an in-depth insight into the history of Downtown Niagara Falls.
In addition to the museum, the whole city takes on a quaint look of the old days, and souvenir shops are plentiful for visitors to buy memories straight out of history.
