Vacationers do not need to head south to enjoy a day on a beach that frames a seemingly endless expanse of water. The park is on the shore of Lake Erie, just minutes from Niagara Falls, across from Buffalo. It is home of several Fort Erie festivals and events. A boat ramp is located at the end of Ridgeway Road. There is no fee to use the boat ramp. The park itself offers a picnic pavilion and ample space for parking.
Waterfront Park in Crystal Beach is a relaxing place to spend a day with the family. The beach is known for its 'beach party fun.' The park arranges live entertainment, basketball for teens and kids, sand sculpting, crafters demonstrating their trades and more.
This is one of the few free events in the Niagara area. Tourists can mingle with the community. Waterfront Park is an area ripe with history. There are several historical sites in the area.
Kids will laugh at Doug the Great and Fluffy the Clown. The whole family will enjoy the foods that have made the beach famous, such as Crystal Beach Suckers and Sugar Waffles.
Tourists do not need to leave the park like setting to stay in a hotel. There are cottages for rent steps from the beach. The cottages are fully furnished, sleeps 4 — 7, with separate dining areas and BBQ deck. They make the perfect 'home base' for a Niagara Falls vacation.
The beach is less than 20 minutes from other Niagara attractions: The Falls, Festival of lights, Shaw festival, Marineland, the Casino, Erie Race Track, and Zooz.
